What is an Evocity?
Seven of NSW's leading regional cities were chosen to become Evocities. These cities are clean, green, vibrant, dynamic, innovative, accessible and globally linked.
The Evocity name was coined because these cities are centres of Energy, Vision and Opportunity (EVO).
The Evocities were selected for their:
- High quality infrastructure
- Positive population growth
- Plentiful business and employment opportunites
- Affordable house prices
- Broadband infrastructure
- High quality education
- Excellent sporting facilities
- Lifestyle (e.g. cinemas, art galleries, restaurants and festivals)
The seven Evocities are Albury, Armidale, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga.
Benefits of an Evocity
Evocities offer the opportunity of a "new city, new life." Living in a regional city has many of the benefits of a capital city, without the drawbacks.
Evocities have lower costs of living, strong career and business opportunities and great lifestyles.
A move to an Evocity is a move to a quality life with less traffic, a healthier lifestyle, an embracing and safe community and a more affordable home to raise your family in.
Living in an Evocity means less time commuting, working and stressing, and more time for you and your family to enjoy the Evocities' beautiful yet diverse natural surroundings - from mountainous ranges to stunning lakes, wine regions and dramatic valleys.
